Wow, there certainly were some wonderful (and delicious) things happening in the kitchen’s across our kura during lockdown. Thank you for sharing your creations with us. Ka mau te wehi!
“Thank you for doing the garden to table making the kids familiar in the kitchen creating good food! From saying ‘I don’t know how to do it’ to ‘I know that, I have done it before’ after looking at the picture Vidar got the confidence and was so energised doing it and finding new colours to add. I could leave him fully to it!
Vidar said he had made this salad before and he loved it! He took what we had at home and got the lovely colors together! Lettuce, carrots, kidney beans, naked wheat, cashew nuts, water cress, sprouts and mandarin. We had it to smoked fish cakes and a capers mayo dressing. The salad was fantastic, the mayo dressing too, but the fish cakes need some improvements! Good stuff – keep on doing it!”

“This morning my mum and I made a Fijian take on Cassava cake for our garden to table. My grandparents grow them back home. It is made from grated cassava and grated coconut and a sprinkle of sugar.”
Vinaka vaka levu Austin!
